About
Richard Marks is an award-winning photographer with a Masters Degree in Arts and the owner of MauiProfessionalPhotography.
He added photographing weddings to his photography repertoire in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1992 when he was invited to collaborate photographing a wedding in Sonoma County with his friend and fellow Getty photographer, Trinette Reed. Richard has been photographing weddings in Maui since his move there in 2001. His photographs are distributed worldwide by Getty Images and have been published world wide in magazines and on CD, DVD, websites, book covers and major ad campaigns. His photos have also been on 36 front covers of the Maui Vision Magazine, on the covers of the Maui Arts and Cultural Center Magazine as well as in The Maui News and magazines in Japan. Richard loves shooting weddings, engagements proposals, families and promotional photography for websites and CD’s and has done well over 1000 weddings, engagements, family and promotional shoots in Maui. He really enjoys building warm and friendly relationships with his clients and also receives great joy in giving surprise gifts to his clients in the spirit of aloha whenever possible.
Richard focuses on creating a genuine rapport with his clients so they can have fun and relax as he captures their photos with a spirit of artistry, joy, and sensitivity. He loves to shine a light on the unique beauty of each and every client he works with.
Dedicated to creating the highest possible quality images, Richard shoots with the industry-leading 42.4 megapixel full frame Sony A7r3 camera, with the best prime and zoom lenses and radio flash units. He uses cutting-edge post production tools for state of the art image processing, color perfecting and retouching.
